I am keenly aware that I am getting less sleep — tomorrow night, in particular, is going to be painful. Tonight will most likely be the last night I sleep in the United States for quite a while. What an adventure.

After briefly reading my last entry, I realise just how tired I was. In fact, my browser died halfway through writing about my day… We woke up, and luckily my packages arrived, including my airline ticket from Seoul to Kuala Lumpur. I’m very lucky! We ate some mac and cheese for breakfast and discussed life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Vanetta from UPS called. She had really helped me with my tickets, so I asked to speak to her manager. Although I was roaming, and made sure the manager knew that, I still wanted to put in a very good word for her.

After a few errands downtown, we drove to Red Rock in the hills. We played around for quite a while and jumped from some cliffs. The football provided plenty of entertainment: we tried to catch it while jumping from a cliff. I was the first to make the catch, thanks to a great throw from Ben. We got some great photos of our random dives. I did a few backflips — my hand was too far out during the one caught on camera, and now my entire arm sort of tingles. After Red Rock, we drove along one of the ridges. We took some great pictures and bonded as we talked nonsense, swapped random stories, and climbed on top of an equally random structure. While I was filming, Ben threw the football to Pav, who was standing through the car’s sunroof. I’ll include a link shortly. Afterward, we looked at where Ben used to live, which had one of the most amazing views of Santa Barbara.

The day is nearing an end, and we are reviewing the videotapes. I have a feeling we will continue the adventure out on the town, but these things never seem to be decided before midnight. I’ll admit that I need to be a little careful right now; I can’t do anything too silly or get injured two days before leaving the country.

Then again, doing backflips off a cliff in the middle of nowhere probably wasn’t the brightest thing to do.
