The MRT isn't particularly interesting. I mean, I sort of felt like I was a kid again the first time I rode it. Just like ridding a bus for the first time. Or riding an escalator. The first few times are interesting, but eventually, you just wish teleportation would be invented already.
But today was different! After transferring at Taipei Main Station I continued to the Yellow Line, out to Taipei County, where I live. Behold, doors! Just like the Brown Line, or just like Hong Kong! I always feel a little nervous when the train comes speeding through, just waiting for some fat school kid to goof around and bump me into the tracks. Well, no more fear, half-tall doors are being drilled and put in. Yay.
