A Long Boat Ride Home

Published on Oct. 9, 2006 in Taiwan

Today sucked. For whatever reason, unknown by me, I decided to 'have some fun' and take the ferry back to Taiwan. What-was-I-thinking.

Now, I've been able to take several ferries before, some for extended periods of time. Little did I know, this was going to be a slightly bumpy ride. We started playing cards near the top of the ferry, but I soon realized that sleep would be a better idea. Somehow we wandered down below to our cabin, I grumpily crawled in, closed my eyes, and tried to sleep again at 11:00am. Luckily I could, and basically forced myself to sleep for the entire trip. Realizing that I am not a sea person, at least not willingly yet, when we arrived backin Keelung I was as happy as could be.

Around the train station we searched for some Jin Jiu Nai Cha, couldn't find any, and ran to catch the train. An hour and a half later we arrived at my house, trying to forget that the world was still sort of spinning, and enjoy the rest of our weekend. Especially since my school starts on Wednesday. Sigh.
