Irony Defined

Almost with Sunday-church-going regularity, I grew up listening to my father invent puns with stunning ease. My sense of humor was surely shaped by this, and so I find some things humorous that others might not find so funny. Here's an example. Today I went through my regular daily habits -- make coffee -- eat breakfast -- brush teeth -- check email -- Voila! I received a new email from the university I graduated from. In it I have a chance to fill out a survey for some free stuff. Cool...

The Message

So, what did I find so interesting about this? The TO: field. If you don't know what ironic means, the following image juxtaposed with the email content is a good illustrated example. The big blue blurred out field in the picture below contains 438 email addresses. The Message Part Two
