My laptop really is on the way out. I've been quite proud of it so far, I'll admit, and have no complaints. Today I packed it around to try and find a better cafe to work from, in addition to easier access for YS to go to work. I turned it on, and -- nothing! The screen wouldn't even turn on!
In the end we took out the battery, turned it back on, and it worked. Phew. Of course, this is all a bit of a catch-22 -- I want to buy a new laptop, but not yet. Plus, I want to wait until I'm in Australia and have a steady job. Oh, the rough life I have...
