To Ios
Published on July 31, 2003 in Greece
I have been doing just way too much traveling lately, I think. Ready to just take it easy and sit back, have a few margaritas, and relax. I'm getting more tan though, at least my arms are. When I woke up the morning of the 30th I found out how to get to Ios, which is a long way away, and Bj from Rome stumbled across me as I was eating breakfast with some girl. We got two sea keyacks and went out into the ocean for a few hours. Nothing too interesting, just some of the most clear water I have EVER seen! It was quite amazing actually, met up with a bunch of other people on a rock out in the ocean, all Aussies! I waited around a little more and jumped on a bus at 6:15 to the main bus station in Corfu and got a bus to Athens. All night long the bus went, which was fine cause I stole the entire back row and slept almost the entire way. Hmmm yea!! Arrived at Athens really early in the morning, jumped on some bus, asked for directions, ended up at the port. Got my ticket, and here is where things got interesting. They lady said: first blue star boat, right next to the red one. So I jumped on it. Unfortunately, it doesn't go to the island that i need it to go to. So, I am going to need to organize some way to get on the right boat, since I am somewhere in the Greek islands and I have no freaking clue. Think I have figured it out though, slept for a while on the deck until i started to feel my body getting sunburned, so I came inside. Well, I reckon my port is coming up where I can get an actual ferry over to Ios. Grrr. Talk to you tonight!
