Really Christmas Eve

Published on Dec. 24, 2004 in England

So I'm at an internet cafe, and it is roasting in here! I'm in London right now, after a pretty hellish flight. We took off from Berlin late, arrived late (after having to taxi a second time) and so missed the last train, then had to take some busses to our hostel, arriving only at about 3am. Crashed, woke up at 9:10 and had breakfast. I took lunch too. Since 10:00 I have been walking around -- I saw basically everything in the "downtown" area, glad to get that out of the way. Took a bus ride for 15 minutes without knowing where it was going (a little mission Casey sent me on before I left him this morning) -- ok, I don't know why there aren't more deaths by bus here. I swear, the drivers are crazy! I got on, he took one turn and I swear I heard him laugh as I got flung across the bus (I was on the top part all by myself). Sharp corner, hit curb, Kelvin goes flying; you get the idea. Well, food calls so I'm going to look up a few last things and see what Earl's Court supermarkets have to offer! P.S. keep looking for how our living situation tonight is going to go...
