We have arrived in Sydney! Our flight wasn't too bad, but shortly upon arrival we realized we didn't fully organize our transportation or accommodation. Either way, we bought a phone card at the airport (which is $10 instead of $2 downtown), and jumped on a bus to downtown. Shortly we arrived, jumped out of the bus, and were welcomed by quite a bit of rain and a cold chill. Having been traveling around tropical countries for the last two months, we were vastly unprepared for the Sydney winter, however mellow it might be.
Soon we ate some mince pies, yet couldn't get in contact with Yan-Shih's professor to organize a stay. On the plan we met a nice lady from New Zealand working in Sydney, and she said we could give her a ring if we didn't find a place to say.
Not having a place to stay, and the temperature decreasing, we gave her a ring.
While she had to work the next day, she put us up on her amazingly comfortable couches, and gave us keys to her apartment. We at Pizza Hut from down the street, and fell asleep early.
